DTC P05C0:Shutter Grille Actuator (Upper) Temperature Malfunction DTC P05C1:Shutter Grille Actuator (Lower) Temperature Malfunction General Description
The shutter grille system open/closes the shutter depending on the driving conditions. The system improves fuel efficiency by reducing the wind drag. The shutter is controlled by the shutter grille which integrates the actuator. The powertrain control module (PCM) sends open/close requests which depends on the driving conditions to the shutter grille via the LIN line. If the upper or lower temperature is detected as abnormal, the PCM confirms the abnormality and stores a DTC. Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type

Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the PGM-FI display comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the PCM memory. The MIL does not come on. Conditions for clearing the DTC
The PGM-FI display is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The PGM-FI display, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command. |
