This section explains the procedures after removal of all related parts. For the related parts' removal procedure, refer to the appropriate Service Manual.
The component replacement procedure described here is only for new genuine supplied parts, as needed, according to the area and the degree of damage on the body.

Remove the wheelhouse upper member front and rear as an assembly, and replace them.
Check the front damper extension set position for damage. If necessary, replace them.
Replace the front damper extension set and the bumper beam extension flange at the same time.

Check the damper housing set position for damage and if necessary, replace it.

Position the replacement parts.
Before doing the main welding, check the body dimensions:

Temporarily install the related parts, then check for differences in level and clearance.
Check the external parts fitting positions. Make sure the body lines flow smoothly.
Confirm the sheet thickness, tensile strength, and existence of the zinc treatment of both sides, and set the welder to conform to the welding conditions by referring to Front Body Construction.

1. Damper Housing Set - Weld

1.
Weld the damper housing set (A) to the dashboard upper side member extension (B), the dashboard bulkhead (C), and the dashboard upper (D).

( )*: Welding positions with high-strength steel parts. Confirm the plug welding conditions.





2.
From the passenger's compartment, plug weld the holes in the dashboard lower (A) and the damper housing set (B).





3.
Weld the damper housing set (A) to the front side frame/front side backplate (B).

3. Front Damper Extension Set - Weld

1.
Weld the front damper extension set (A) to the hood hinge bracket (B), the dashboard upper side member extension (C), and the damper housing set (D).

2.
Weld the front damper extension set (A) to the bumper beam extension flange (B), the side frame extension front (C), and the side frame support (D).

4. Front Wheelhouse Upper Member - Weld

1.
Weld the wheelhouse upper member front (A) and the wheelhouse upper member rear (B) to the front damper extension set (C), the side frame support (D), the bumper beam extension flange (E), the hood hinge bracket (F), the dashboard upper side member extension (G), and the front pillar lower stiffener extension upper/extension lower (H).
