Insert a wide-tip trim tool (A) and a small-tip trim tool (B) between the windshield side trim (C) and the windshield so it contacts the clips (D).

Pull up the windshield side trim with the wide-tip trim tool and push the hooks (E) on the clips with the small-tip trim tool to remove the clips from the retainers (F) as shown.
NOTE: Do not break the hooks with the trim tool for removal.

Release the clips (A, B).

Retainer - Remove

Release the hooks (A) and remove the retainers (B) as shown.

Retainer - Install

Install the retainers (A, B) to the pins (C).

Windshield Side Trim - Install
1.
Without roof rail : From the rear to the front, fit the clips (A, B) to the stud bolts (C) and the retainers (D), then push on the molding until they snap into place.

Install the windshield side trim (E) in the sequence shown.
