Mis-Fuel Inhibit Device Removal and Installation

Flammable - Keep Fire Away

NOTE:
Refer to the Fuel and Emissions Systems Service Precautions before disconnecting the fuel line.
Fuel may cause flammable gas leaks and may result in fire. Keep sparks, flame and cigarettes away.

2. Mis-Fuel Inhibit Device - Remove

Pull out the rubber cover (A).

2.
Insert a small tip screwdriver into the 3 lock tabs (B) and lift up to release the mis-fuel inhibit device (C).

NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the fuel fill pipe or the fuel fill pipe top side surface (D).
Never reuse the mis-fuel inhibit device.

3. Nozzle Setting Bracket - Remove

Disengage the retainer (A) towards the direction show.





2.
Using a small tip screwdriver, insert it into the slots to disengage the tabs (A) while pulling the nozzle setting bracket (B).

4. Main Flap Unit - Remove

Fold in the four lock tabs (A) and pull the main flap unit (B).

NOTE: It may be necessary to lightly pry under main flap unit. Be careful not to damage the full fill pipe.

5. All Removed Parts - Install


1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
Align the part (A) on the mis-fuel inhibit device (B) and the fuel fill pipe (C).
If needed, replace the cover (D).
