Turbocharger Removal and Installation

NOTE:

Tighten the turbocharger/bracket mounting bolts and nuts in the numbered sequence shown.

	Detailed information, notes, and precautions
	Torque: N·m (kgf·m, lbf·ft)
	Replace

1.	Engine Coolant - Drain

2.	Intake Parts - Remove

NOTE: Remove the necessary part(s).

3.	Expansion Tank - Remove

4.	A/F Sensor - Remove

5.	TWC Assembly - Remove

6.	Turbocharger Joint - Remove

7.	Turbocharger Cover - Remove

8.	Oil Feed Pipe - Remove

Note for installation

NOTE:

Apply new engine oil to the threads of the oil feed pipe orifice bolt (A).

Make sure the washer portion (B) is installed on the area (C) as shown.

9.	Turbocharger and Bracket - Remove

	1.	Remove the turbocharger (A).
		NOTE: Do not hold the wastegate control valve rod (B) and the turbocharger wastegate control actuator (C).

Remove the bracket (D).

10.	Oil Return Pipe - Remove

11.	Water Pipe - Remove

12.	All Removed Parts - Install

Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

13.	Hose Band - Precaution

Note for installation

NOTE: Make sure the end of hose band (A) is aligned with the mark (B) on the hose band after the parts are installed.

14.	Engine Oil Level - Check
