Tailgate Outer Handle Switch Removal, Installation, and Test
NOTE: The tailgate outer handle switch is a part of the license plate light, and it cannot be replaced by itself.

License Plate Light - Remove

All Removed Parts - Install

Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

Rear License Trim - Remove
2.
Tailgate Outer Handle Switch - Test
With keyless access system
Without keyless access system
1.
Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.
2.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the tailgate outer handle switch.
