Cruise control cannot be set
1.
Check the PGM-FI system.
2.
Check the No. D21 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.
3.
Do the cruise control combination switch test.
4.
Do the cruise control input test.
Open circuit, loose or disconnected terminals: YEL, BLU, GRN or LT GRN wire between the cruise control combination switch and the gauge control module
Faulty gauge control module
Faulty cable reel
Cruise control can be set, but the cruise main indicator does not come on
Faulty gauge control module
Cruise control can be set, but the cruise control indicator does not come on
Faulty gauge control module
Vehicle does not accelerate accordingly when the RES+ switch is pressed
  
Set speed does not cancel when the brake pedal is pressed
1.
Do the brake pedal position switch test.
2.
Do the cruise control input test.
Test the brake pedal position switch signal input.
3.
Check the PGM-FI system.
Faulty brake pedal position switch
An open in the wire between the PCM and the brake pedal position switch
A wire shorted to ground or power between the PCM and the brake pedal position switch
Set speed does not cancel when the CRUISE switch is pressed
  
Set speed does not cancel when the CANCEL switch is pressed
  
Set speed does not resume when the RES+ switch is pressed (with the CRUISE button pressed on, and set speed temporarily canceled by pressing the brake pedal)
  
Set speed does not resume when the RES+ switch is pressed (with the CRUISE switch pressed on, and set speed temporarily canceled by pressing the CANCEL switch)
