DTC B1075: Headlight switch malfunction
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

Problem verification:

Clear the DTCs with the HDS.


?2.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.

?3.
Turn the headlight switch ON position.

?4.
Wait for at least 6 seconds.

?5.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1075 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.?

Are any DTCs indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to indicated DTCs troubleshooting.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 3.

Turn the combination light switch OFF position.

?2.
Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

Open wire check (H/L ON SW line):

Open wire check (H/L ON SW line)

Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.
Terminal A
Terminal B
Body ground

?2.
Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.?
     
NO
     
     
     
6.
Shorted wire check (H/L ON SW line):

Shorted wire check (H/L ON SW line)

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Disconnect the following connectors.
Combination light switch 12P connector
Relay control module connector C (18P)

?3.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Combination light switch 12P connector: disconnected
Relay control module connector C (18P): disconnected
Test point 1
Test point 2
Body ground

Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair a short to ground in the wire.?
     
NO
