DTC B18B4: Left Side BSI Radar Unit Dirty
DTC B1E64: Right Side BSI Radar Unit Dirty
NOTE:
DTC B18B4 or DTC B1E64 may be stored due to environment (including weather, a traffic condition, and the drive situation) or temporary contamination around the rear bumper.

B1E64 Right side BSI radar unit dirty
 

1.
Problem verification:

Problem verification
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

?2.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.


?3.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?4.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for at least 5 seconds.

?5.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are any DTCs indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting.?

Outside rear bumper check:

Outside rear bumper check

Check the outside of rear bumper for snow, ice, dirt, contaminants, or stickers.

Is it OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 3.
     
NO
     
     
     
Completely wipe off any dirt or contaminants from the rear bumper.?

Inside rear bumper check:

Inside rear bumper check

?2.
Check the inside of the rear bumper for snow, ice, dirt, or contaminants. Also, check the appropriate BSI radar unit surface for dirt or contaminants.

Is it OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
     
NO
     
     
     
Clean the inside of the rear bumper for dirt or contaminations around the BSI radar unit.?
