Panoramic Glass Roof Cable Assembly Removal and Installation

NOTE: SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

3. Glass Roof Cable Assembly and Glass Bracket - Remove
1.
Tilt the glass brackets (A) down by sliding the link lifters (B) back, then slide both glass brackets back with the link lifters.
2.
Slide the glass brackets (A) on the glass roof cables (B) towards the rear, and pull it out from the frame (C).

3.
Pull out the cable assemblies.
4.
Remove the glass bracket link (A) from the glass bracket (B).
5.
If necessary, remove the set plates (A).

4. All Removed Parts - Install



1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
Before install the glass roof cables (A), apply multipurpose grease to the glass brackets (B) and the guide rail areas of the frame (C) indicated by the arrows.
Alignment the bracket links.

Insert the glass brackets until it comes to a stop against the frame.

Make sure the glass roof cables are correctly installed.

Slide the link lifters (D) forward until it is against the tip of the guide rails (E).

Before reinstalling the motor, make sure both link lifters are parallel, and in the tilt up position.
