Panoramic Glass Roof Frame and Drain Tube Removal and Installation

NOTE:
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.
Reset the panoramic glass roof motor-control unit, when the panoramic glass roof was moved manually.
Reset the power sunshade motor-control unit, when the power sunshade was moved manually.

Frame

2. These Items - Remove

If necessary, remove these items.

3. Panoramic Glass Frame - Remove

Disconnect the front drain tubes (A) and the rear drain tubes (B).






2.
Remove the bolts and lower the frame to release the pins (A).

3.
With the help of an assistant, then remove the panoramic glass roof frame (B).

4. All Removed Parts - Install

1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

Front Drain Tube

4. Front Drain Tube - Remove

Driver's Side

Passenger's Side

1.
Remove the clip (A).

2.
Pull the front drain valves (B) out of the body hole.

3.
Tie a string to the top end of the front drain tubes (C), then pull the drain tubes down out of the pillars. Leave the string in the pillar to use when reinstalling the drain tubes.

5. All Removed Parts - Install

Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
Before installing the drain tubes, clear the drain tubes and the drain valves using compressed air.
When connecting the drain tubes, slide them over the frame nozzles at least 10 mm (0.39 in).
Install the tube clips (A) on the drain tubes (B) as shown.

Rear Drain Tube

3. Rear Drain Tube - Remove

Right Side

1.
Remove the clip(s) (A).

2.
Pull the rear drain valves (B) out of the body hole.

3.
Tie a string to the top end of the rear drain tubes (C), then pull the drain tubes down out of the pillars. Leave the string in the pillar to use when reinstalling the drain tubes.

4. All Removed Parts - Install

Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
Before installing the drain tubes, clear the drain tubes and the drain valves using compressed air.
When connecting the drain tubes, slide them over the frame nozzles at least 10 mm (0.39 in).
Install the tube clips (A) on the drain tubes (B) as shown.
